Shelton resident Taylor Dyrek, 31, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 25 after vandalizing Trump campaign signs in the White Hills section of town, Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango said.
It is alleged that Dyrek was caught spray-painting “Dump” above Trump’s name on two signs by a driver coming home from work who alerted the Shelton Police Department.
The driver took a photo of Dyrek and his vehicle, proceeded to post it on a community Facebook page, which led to an investigation into his whereabouts.
Dyrek was taken into custody without incident by investigators, Bango announced on Monday, Sept. 28. He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and released on a $500 bond.
Dyrek is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court on Wednesday, Dec. 2 to respond to the charge.
